[SWATS AWAY, again! he did manage to make prompto a little bit angry. the light turns green, and he goes]

[ Noctis can tell Prompto is starting to get irritated, so he pulls his hand back with a shrug. He swipes away at his phone. ]

Same thing you're getting.

[ He taps a few times, then puts his phone down. ]

Got some dumplings, too.

[he's a little distracted by a dog being walked as he drives straight, and he belatedly looks back at the road. he swerves a bit]

[they arrive at the underground parking lot of the apartment building without much incident, however, and prompto's carefully parking the car in noct's assigned spot]

[unbuckling and getting out, forgetting his coffee inside in favor of getting the bags]

[ Noctis jolts a bit when Prompto drives over the pothole, nose wrinkling. This is his baby, Prom! ]

[ Once they park, he sees Prompto leave without his coffee, which he takes the liberty of grabbing. He unbuckles and leaves the car. ]

Don't forget your garbage coffee.

[bags grabbed, he makes a dramatic ah! yelp, and hands over the keys as he grabs his coffee.]

[he walks alongside noctis towards the elevator]

Y'wanna watch a movie? I kinda just wanna flop down for a while.

[ He trades the coffee for the keys. ]

Here, let me get a couple of those bags.

[ Noctis gestures to the many bags that Prompto's carrying. Maybe they went a bit overboard with the shopping... ]

[he takes a sip of his coffee and looks up]

A person actually got killed in an elevator once when it malfunctioned and went to the top floor at increasing speed. Crushed. Guy just went out to do his groceries. Pretty tragic.

[prompto glances casually at noctis, like he didn't just say something rather terrifying]

[ They approach the elevator, Glenn already on it in terms of calling it down for them. But Noctis is forced to stop, brow knit as he looks to his friend with a look as if he'd grown a second head. ]

What dictates these thoughts popping up in your head?

[prompto shrugs, then puts an arm on noctis as they go inside the elevator]

If we die, I'm glad that we're dying together.

[then, he grins]

[ Prompto is weirdly particular about certain things, but Noctis doesn't mind it. Prompto's quirks are what make him him, and even if he snorts about things and picks on him? He wouldn't have it any other way. Noctis shakes his head with a smile as they approach the elevator.

Prompto puts his arm around him, and he's perfectly fine with it. He's still feeling a bit weird after the mall, but... He's not about to pry away.

In fact, Noctis uses his free arm to wrap it around Prompto in kind. ]
