[prompto's waiting outside the warehouse, sat on the ground and drawing on the dusty ground with his finger, most likely overlaying the drawings onto a game of online multiplayer "guess what i'm drawing!" because it's still hard to draw with just his brain.]

( prompto's early--and jason's earlyish; he pulls up to the warehouse on his own shiny, red hoverbike, stops just in front of the door before swinging a leg over and off of it and turning off the engine with his implant. there's a helmet covering his face, but. he's definitely jason. )
You're here early. ( an easy lift of his shoulders, before he's moving to walk into the door (unlocked) and push his bike inside with him. ) C'mon.
[he exits the game and scrambles to his feet, following after jason without much preamble. eyeing the bike, he thinks it's really cool that the other owns one...]
Thought it'd be better to be early than late. It's so cool that you got a bike, Malone.

Stole a couple abandoned cars and pulled 'em apart for parts to get the cash for it.
( look it's. true. and no one was using them anyway so who cares? definitely not jason. the kickstand balances the bike just a bit off from the entrance, before jason's shrugging off his jacket and reaching into the saddlebag of his bike, pulling out another bag. there's a case with knives, a dart board-- )

It's pretty great! I beat my friends at darts all the time, and my weapon of choice are guns, y'know! I've gotta be pretty good at it otherwise it's just friendly fire all over!
Guns're also my go-to. ( the dart board, jason walks over to a closeby wall. hangs it up on a nail sticking out of the wood before taking a few steps back to make sure that it's even. not that it matters. it's not going to last long at all. ) Those and knives. But I like 'em less for throwing, more for stabbing.
( with a little stabbing motion added in for effect, you're welcome. )
More personal that way. But since guns aren't allowed anymore and the law is a lot harder to avoid, well. ( picking up one of the knives out of the bag, jason offers it over to prompto. it's well-balanced, sharp, and obviously not made to be pretty but effective. ) Gotta find something else to make do.
[he takes the knife after being offered it, weighing it in his hand. it's a lot lighter than what a gun would be, but it's got the kind of weight to it that's just comfortable and balanced. exceedingly balanced.]
These are a lot more quiet than guns, too.
[again, never one for knives, but many times he was kept from engaging in battle because his guns would immediately alert the enemy immediately. it was easier for ignis to storm in with his blades.]

Is there a trick to throwing them, or is it as easy as it seems?
Everyone's got their own way of doing it. Some people throw 'em straight, some like to spin.
( jason takes his own knife, balances it on the end of his index finger before he's spinning it around his fingers and pulling his hand back to throw the knife straight for the center of the dart board. it--doesn't stick, but lands on the ground in front of it.
ah, well. ) You've gotta find your own preference. If you're as great as you say, I doubt I'm gonna have to teach you much.
[he listens and looks on, still feeling the weight of the knife in his hand. it's an unusual weight, one he is not used to, but it's not one that would hinder his throw much like a dart wouldn't.]

[grinning at malone, prompto moves into place in front of the board and takes a few ganders before sending the knife flying towards it.]
[his aim is a little short of perfect, but the butt of the knife is what hits the board, the knife having spun in the air.]
